The latest gadget which is making new generation go freaky is Appl iPhone. Recently when I went to the launch of iphone I got totally amazed after seeing all the features of iPhone. iPhone is internet connected multimedia smart phone. It has certain features which were never seen before such as multi touch screen and a minimal hardware interface.

Apple iPhone does not have physical keyboard instead it has a virtual keyboard which is set up on the touch screen. This iPhone functions as multi task instead of single stand devices such as camera phone and portable media player. IT has also the facility of a normal mobile like text messaging and visual voicemail. Apple iPhone also has certain features like internet services including email, web browsing, and local Wi-Fi connectivity.

iPhone was announced by Apple on January 9,2007. The announcement leads to many rum ours that lasted for several months. This iPhone was first introduced in in united staes on June 29,2007 and now this iPhone is getting famous worldwide. In 2007 iPhone was named Time magazine invention of year. On july11,2008, iPhone 3G was released which has faster 3G data speeds and assisted GPS.

Apple iPhone has 9cm liquid crystal display HVGA touch screen with scratch resistant glass so that we can easily use finger or multiple fingers for multi touch sensing. All the input in iPhone user interface enable the user to move the content up or down by dragging the finger. For example zooming in and out of photos can be done by using two fingers. The display of iPhone responds to three sensors. Proximity sensor is one of the sensors which shuts off display and touch screen when iPhone is brought near to face in order to save battery power. Ambient light sensor adjusts the brightness of iPhone display which leads to battery consumption.

The iPhone headphones are similar to latest smart phones. A multipurpose button can be used for several purpose such as playing and stopping the music. Wireless earpiece uses blue tooth technology that is used for communication with iPhone. The iPhone uses a rechargeable battery that is nit user replaceable similar to ipods but dissimilar to cell phones. The sim card in iPhone is located in a slot at the top of device that can be ejected with the help of paper clip or sim card eject. iPhone was initially released with a memory power of 4GB or 8GB,but 4GB was discontinued and on 5 Feb 16 GB model was added in the iPhone lineup. The iPhone does not have memory card slots for expanded storage.

In most countries, the iPhone is usually sold with a SIM lock preventing the use of SIM cards from different mobile networks. Both the iPhone and the iPhone 3G came with a series of included accessories and items when purchased. iPhone consist of Dock and USB power adapter whereas iPhone 3G is consist of sim ejector tool, Mini USB power adapter which is mainly found in north America region whereas in other regions standard USB power adapter is used.
