COMMON TROUBLESHOOTING ERRORS IN WINDOWS VISTA


Windows Vista is the new addition to the windows family. It has many enhanced features. The security was the major concern during the construction of the windows vista. Being coming so much after the delay yet it possesses some errors in it. Discussing here are some common troubleshooting errors in windows vista.

  • Windows Vista didn’t detect when I have a .com on the end of a domain in the “Start Search” option field
  • I can’t see stop or refresh button in windows Explorer jump if Windows is moving slowly.
  • Strange transparency is noticed while dragging object icons.
  • Windows Vista won’t let you exit out of the location settings dialog if you don’t want to enter an area code first?

  • Sometimes when fiddling with the Visual Appearance settings, the system loses the ability to turn on transparency. For these activation of the feature I have to reboot the system.
  • There is no dual monitor support in windows Vista.
  • The option of Mobility Center is not customizable. We can’t save settings to different profiles.
  • In new volume dialog it cannot be easily switched to recording option.
   
  • The Volume dialog’s sliders have a boxy shadow behind them. They looks horrible.
  • In the new (file) Open dialog box the “File name” fields sport a different height than the “File type” field. But both of them sporting different heights than the   breadcrumb and search bars at the top of the dialog box.
  • In the Task Manager I am unable to right-click a column heading to add other columns. This is a flaw in the Windows vista operating system.
  • Even I have turned off the Security Center yet it is still showing up in my system tray?
  • While using windows Vista on my laptop, the Power Options should automatically go into Power Saver mode when the AC power is not plugged. This is the common error in windows vista on a portable machine.
  • The windows Explorer copy functions don’t have a slider control or a pause button.
  • The larger thumbnail preview of a document or image that I have on my desktop can not be shown.

  • The system tray battery icon has an abnormal left margin to it.
  • Fire fox runs faster and better than IE7 does on Vista.
  • I can’t choose what Meta information displays in the Windows Vista Preview Pane.
