Common VoIP Errors And Their Solutions

1) VoIP is different from the real medium for faxing.

Faxing is the real need of the time as a huge volume of the business now a days depends on the faxing the material from one place to another. So in the daily life in various offices faxes are used on a large scale. But if the use of fax keeps on increasing then it is VOIP starts to fails. Especially when you use a DSL connection the VOIP gives lots of problems and errors while faxing.

 

 

(2) Credit card machines fail when sending.

As the Dialup modems don’t work on VOIP and most of the credit card machines use a dial-up modem for sending out its data and dial-up modems so they don’t work.

The design of the VOIP devices is made such that they compress the voices and not the analog signals that are sent and received by the modems. A number of credit card machines work with a dial up modem which does not work well over a VoIP connection.  Companies don’t realize that credit card machines and VOIP don’t work because they don’t know the scope of that scenario.

(3) Integration problem in Alarm systems and VoIP

Some alarm systems don’t work and can’t transmit signals over VOIP. Your alarm system needs to re integrate with the VOIP. Although VoIP service is excellent at voice communication but some times it gives problems while integrating with the security. Lot of security devices are now days available with can integrate easily with VOIP you should prefer that.

(4) VoIP Depends on the internet connection

VoIP connections are dependant on an active connection to the Internet.  VOIP connections are very much dependent on the internet connection. You must be connected to the internet in order to avail the facility of VOIP. Most of the companies use UPS to prevent the connection loss so the best possible solution to avoid connection loss is to use UPS. If you use a broadband connection and you lose an internet connection consequently you will loose the VOIP connection.

(5) Issues of Voice quality

As in the organization the voice as well as text messages are flowing from one place to another so if at some place the cable gets damaged or due to heavy traffic the quality of the voice gets down then it can create enormous problems. And in the large organizations where data gets the most preference then the issues like cut or twist in the cable or image or data quality loss maters a lot. So to avoid this you must be having a strong check on the medium as well as quality of the data and voice flowing in the medium.
